wow! i didnt even realize that thanksgiving is this week! its amazing how fast time goes by. as for the weather here, i consider it perfect. probably low 60's in the morning, high 70 afternoon, and maybe high 50's at night. i love it but its too cold for Iraq lol. GaGa, i got ur package and thank u so much for the singing Tree, raindeer, and the best one of all.... that old Santa that u have had for so long. i cant beleive u sent that out to me! it mad me smile so big! almost brought a tear to my eye. i have all those things up in my room and tomorrow im putting up the lights. i hope i dont burn the place down. lol... well thank u all for supporting us we greatly apprieciate it.... (i think i spelled that wrong lol) have a great thanksgiving!!!
hiya guys. just thought i wold drop a line. not much has been going recently. well nothing exciting. had the day off today cause the past week has been busy. we have been constantly driving from one town to another. we are now in charge of another IP station in the next town over. its nasty over there too. a lot more trash and there sewage is overflowing! BLUCK! n e ways. thats about it. that is just about all thats new. well i will blog to yall l8rz!
WOW!! yesterday was the highlight of my deployment so far.... a couple of weeks ago we saw the local K9 MPs doing some training at the COP and we went over there to talk to them and watch the dogs. they invited us over tho there place and wanted us to put on the BITE SUIT and get "attacked" by the dogs! and of course we said yes... so yesterday, our day off, kody, chris, capt, gunny, and a SSGT of the Army and I went over there and we did it!! IT WAS AWESOME!!.... and of course i went first , cause the other guys were scared lol. well, so was i lol... as soon as i started to put the suit on i started shakeing and the dogs went crazy... i got videos of it and i will gladly show yall when i get bacck in a few months... really good stuff.... well i will talk to yall later!
well i finally got a day off! WOOOHOOO!! lol. it is now the time of year in Iraq where it starts to rain. its awesome. unless your in the turret on one of the trucks, then u get soaked. lol... time is still going pretty fast here and i hope it doesnt slow down. it seems like every week here i make a new iraqi friend. one of them is mustafa. a couple of marines and i were outside (when it wasnt raining) and we were playing football infront of the station. maybe a good 60-70 yards long. one of the guys through the football to me and it went over my head. so i ran to get it, when i got it i just threw it up in the air not really aiming it anywhere. then i just heard every one laughing. i didnt know what for so i ran over so i can see why and apparently i hit mustafa right on the top of the head lol.. after that we were friends lol wierd huh. another guy is edward. i call huim edward cause i cant say his name lol... he is IA (iraqi army) he is a real cool dude. doesnt speak that much english but we make do with my lil arabic. we were hanging out side and he pulled out his cell phone and started to play some music. i couldnt undersstand any of it but it was cool. he went through a couple of songs then he stopped on a song that made me laugh. "tell me what you want" by the Spice Girls lol he knows the whole song word for word lol... its funny hearing an Iraqi sing Spice girls. he finished that song and then he started to play green day "when september ends" that made me home sick. for the first time =( but then i realized that we only have like 2 months left YUT!! lol so yeah... nothing else has been going on other than that. so i will go now and take care of all the things i need to do. keep in touch!
