well i got some few questions from my last blog and here are a few answers. when i first join the Marine Corp. i thought it was going to be the hardest thing that i would have to do in my life. and it was at the time. lol... but now, when i look back 3 years, boot camp really wasn't that hard at all. the only thing that made it seem hard was the Drill instructors basicly breaking our minds down. (brain washed) jk. lol. every day i come across new challenges that i manage to get past.
i get out in about 1year and 1 month and like 22 days. but who's counting lol? my plans are to go back home for a while and get situated back into the civilian life. then i will persue my favorite goal that i have had for a long time. i will move to Houston and goto UTI to get certified to work and modify vehicles. all from 1932 Fords to the futures Honda. then i will goto Austin and get a degree in business. after that i will move back to the great town of Gonzales and move forward in opening my own performance and collision repair shop. i think that would all take about 10 to 15 years for me to do. lol only.
and thank you crystal for that complement. i know u really liked that baby face of mine. lol and yes my parents are very beautiful. i love them with all my heart, soul, and being and would never give them up for anything! LOVE YALL!!
hey guys, just had another beautiful day in sunny Iraq... lol... today went pretty smoothly. i was COG (CPL of the Gaurd) and all i do is check up on the Marines that i posted up on duty for security and make sure that the grounds are safe. its a good leadership roll for me to do. yesterday i did the same and i had to get on an IP because he was out of uniform... he was just walkin lazilly around with his shirt untucked and his hat on sidways. my buddy Kody (Lcpl Braunstien) went up to him and asked him to fix himself and he didnt. he just tried to push Kody out of the way. oh, btw, this isnt the first time that we have caught this IP like this. we get on him almost every day about twice. anyways, we asked him again a lil less politely and he still refused. by this time we were getting a lil heated. so i told him to hand over his badge and i was going to give it to the chief of police and let him deal with it. the look in his eyes was priceless. it was like he saw death coming twards him lol. he quickly put down his AK 47 and tucked in his shirt and fixed his hat. he tried to walk away like nothing happened but we stopped him again and i took his badge. he was MAD! lol so we took it in and i gave to my SSGT and that was it... that IP thinks we gave it to the chief. so we just basicly scared him.
later that night when we arived at the COP(Combat out Post) we were doing what we usually do and just relax after a day of work. i went and took a shower and was getting ready to goto bed. i sat down next to Kody and started playin Rock Band, yes dad i still rule, and then Sgt Hed ran in and said "Jock UP!" that means get our gear on. we just looked at each other confused like you wouldnt believe. then we heard a second after that, that i white flare went off outside. white flare means escolation of force or it can be used for illumination. when we heard that we were completely dressed quicker than a blink of an eye. mom, you wouldnt believe it. lol... so we ran out the building with our M4's in hand running toward the trucks so we can finnaly see/get some acction... well SGT Hed called up to the higher head quarters and asked about the flare. it was a TRAINING EXERCISE!! woo we were heated. the one time we might be able to use our combat training and it was an exercise!!! AHH!! lol oh well at least i know that my Marines are ready to goto a fight when some one calls for them.. i am proud of them for that. other than that folks, that was my highlight of the week... talk to yall later!
