well, the answer to the camel spiders... OMG they are huge. within the first week we found one in our tent. yes i did the heebee jeebee dance! lol. and it was the size of a plate. the body itself was about the size of my hand. comes to find out that it was a BABY!!!! that freaked me out. i do really love it here... i eat better here than i do at the states lol. we have made friends with a lot of the Iraqi people and the constantly bring us food. my favorite are the kabobs and the baked chicken! love it! the kabobs are basicly like a beef sausage.. its beef rolled up like a sausage with diced up onions in it. veggies come with the platter of artery cloggers.onions, tomatos, cucumbers, zukini(i dont know how to spell, sorry lol) and some kinda spicey plant thing lol.. the iraqis always question or laugh at me every time i eat it causes i always put the best thing on it. TABASCO!! mm mm good. so yeah... shoot some more questions my way i love to answer them!!
sorry that i haven't blogged in a while. we have been real busy lately with us moving back to the COP. we all are doing well and having a great time. yesterday something amazing happened!!! IT RAINED HERE!!! we were all like "what is this wet stuff falling from above?!" it was pretty cool.... i learned how to write my name in Arabic. i will show yall when i get back home... as for everyone else blogging. i tell them like everyday to blog. they just dont do it. guess they arent used to writing blogs... but i keep tell them too... well im going to bed... bye
hey everybody. its friday so that means its iraqi saturday. they don't work on fridays... so it was very slow and i was on post today. all i did was make sure the keys that we have don't get lost or stolen. on a kinda depressing note, one of my IP friends was going to ask a girl to marry him. we asked him the next day how it went. she married some other guy... so sad. so we told him that there are more fish in the sea. i went for a run today around the police compound and now i am wide awake and full of energy. its 1:02 AM and i can't sleep!!! AAAAHH!!!! lol.... thanks for all your support and prayers. im going to go take a shower cause im STANKY!! lol not sure yall wanted to know that. oh well bye!
what we did today was extremely fun, well atleast i thought it was... i was outside just minding my business and then one of my sergeants came out and said "get your gear on... were going on a mission!" i was like FINALLY something intersting!! every one gets "jocked up" and we go out side for our brief. we were going to goto the nahboring town about 25 mins away and watched the IP's search the whole town for a missing lady that got kidnapped and week or two ago. so my buddy and i drive these HUEGE trucks that weigh around 18-20 tons. we arent supposed to go over 55 mph in them for safety reasons, but the IP's that were leading the convoy drive FAST!! so... we were cruising along at a safe speed of 60-80 mph lol... i was like woah!! lol... so we arive at the town that is about the size of 4 football fields... we park at the local COP there and we go out on a patrol around the town with the IP's, just to make sure they are doing it correctly. so we are just walking along in this dinky town and then i notice... boy there are a lot of stray dogs here... they were VICIOUS! lol... one of my fellow Lawdawgs actually got attacked by one!! IT WAS SO FUNNY... the dog charged after him so he drew up his rifle and the dog just stopped mid run and sat down and growled lol... after that we met up with some more IP's that were done and just chilled and talked to them for a while as our beloved capt was talking to the higher ups. after that we walked back to the COP and got in our trucks and drove "SAFELY" back to our head quarters... we never found the girl unfortuatly but it was really fun going out there and actually doing some PTT stuff...
