Jesse Elizondo, Lead PastorMy TestimonyMy sophomore year in college, 1998, I met a Campus Crusade Staff at a Billy Graham Crusade in San Antonio who invited me to his bible study group. There he shared about the holiness of God, my inevitable separation from Him due to my sin and the Savior who alone could bridge that gap and restore me into an intimate and personal relationship with Him. It is then that I had faith. Ministry / Educational Background

Steve Scott - Worship PastorTestimony:I was raised in a Catholic home, but my involvement in Christianity was just what was required of me by my family and my church; confession, communion, confirmation, etc. I was looking for another outlet for singing and became involved with choirs in many different churches in the Chicago area, even a Jewish Synogogue. When I was 17, here in Gonzales, a friend of mine invited me to a "pizza pig-out" night at a Baptist Church Revival and for the first time I heard about Jesus Christ as my friend and wanting to help me. This was the first time I heard the Holy Spirit's call on my life. When I accepted His invitation to follow Him, He has shown me things about myself that I couldn't even imagine. During my service in Desert Storm, I started leading worship. I haven't stopped since then. Praise the Lord! Ministry/Education Background: I attended high school at Gonzales High School. Did my undergraduate work at the University of Texas at Austin. Received my Bachelor's Degree in Education from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, and did post-grad work at Texas A&M University and UT-Austin.. I received my Masters in Religious Education from Andersonville Theological Seminary in Georgia. Hobbies/Interests: Music (of course), Computer Programming, Land Management Research.

Stacy Scott - Connections CoordinatorTestimony:I became a Christian at age 7 at Eastside Baptist Church in Gonzales. I sat with Pastor David Davidson on the back of his pickup truck as he shared the Gospel and I accepted Christ. It seems like I grew up in the church, whether Baptist or non-denominational. I can't say that I've always stayed on the straight and narrow, but I have always had the love of God in me. Ministry/Education Background: I attended and graduated from Gonzales High School and immediately entered the work force. I have been involved in Praise and Worship since I began singing in the choirs and ensembles, at all of the churches I attended. Hobbies/Interests: I really love traveling anywhere with my husband and/or family. We LOVE vacations! I enjoy reading -- especially medical thrillers and murder mysteries. I always try to figure out "whodunnit"...and sometimes I'm actually right! I play volleyball, watch football and hockey, would like to go to a basketball game and hate baseball. Steve and I are also "foodies" and our dream travel itinerary would be to eat our way through Italy and then maybe Greece. ;). |
