  • born and raised in Encinitas Cal.
  • Graduated from La Costa Canyon High School in 1998.
  • Spent his first two years of college at the University of Colorado, where he played football and lacrosse. After leaving Colorado in the spring of 2000, Luke returned to his native state of California to attend the California Polytechnic State college in San Luis Obispo. (SLO town)
  • Joined the United State Marine Corps (2004)
  • Officer candidate school through the Basic School in Quantico VA. He then moved to Pensacola FL to start his flying career in the Marine Corps.
  • Return to California to fly the F/A-18 Hornet out of MCAS Miramar. He trained for a year in the Hornet and then joined VMFA-314. Shortly after his arrival to 314, he was brought to the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Penleton CA, and was given the privilege to lead Police Transition Team-20 also known as the Lawdawgs.

  • Joined the Marine Corps in 1993.
  • First tour of duty was with Marine Corps Security Forces Company stationed in Bangor Washington then joined the 1st Marine Division to complete my enlistment as a Machine Gunner.
  • After initial enlistment entered the Marine Corps Reserve joining Marine Wing Support Squadron as Crash Fire Rescue in 1999.  On the civilian side of the house I became a Police Officer in the state of Texas where I am know on military leave, Currently work for Quinlan Independent School District as a School Resource Officer .
  • Activated in 2001 for MOS training and Special Work.
  • 2003 was activated in support of Operation Iraq Freedom/Operation Enduring Freedom stationed in Yuma Arizona.
  • Left MWSS 473 2-2007 and joined 2 Marine Expedition Force, Attaching to Cherie Point NC station Crash Crew.
  • Activated 2-2008 to 1 Marine Expedition Expeditionary Force PTT.
